Allergies: mold and mold spores

Symptoms: Initial site reaction was sore upper arm, no initial redness or other issues. General slight body aches and pains over the next 24 hours with no issues. No additional problems until on approximately Day 9 (Saturday after the immunization), the left arm became erythematous from approximately the vaccination site to almost the elbow. This erythema was approximately three inches wide and the skin was raised slightly. Area was slightly itchy, not painful, and was warm to the touch. Erythema increased over the next 3 days and I sent a picture to my primary care physician. He advised a Medrol dose pack and Keflex. I requested that I be able to start the Keflex but hold off on the Medrol dose pack for a couple of days. He suggested Benadryl q 6 hours. I sent pictures each day. Two days later, there was some improvement but the provider did not feel there was enough improvement and he encouraged me to start the Medrol dose pack. I started the dose pack on Day 14 (Thursday) around 2 p.m. By 9:00 p.m. on the same day, there was considerable improvement in the look of the arm and the skin was only slightly raised. At the time of this report on Day 18, Monday 01/25/2021, I will finish the Medrol dose pack tomorrow. There is a shadow of where the erythema was and there is no raised skin.

Symptoms: The patient started getting itchy on her face and neck 40 minutes after receiving the vaccination. Soon after in the evening the patient had rash and hives on her upper torso and neck. The hives spread the next day to eventually cover her entire body. The pt. took a Benadryl and went to the hospital because of the severity of the hives and itching on day 2. The staff told her that she should use hydrocortisone cream and should possibly not get the second dose of the vaccination. The pt. continued to use both the Benadryl and hydrocortisone the following day, but still the hives persisted. Pt. is on Day 4 and will let us know further details on her condition as time goes on.

Symptoms: Half hour after injection on 1/12, severe back ache lasting 1 hour. 2 pm same day, severe pins and needles followed by pain in fingers of both hands. 5 pm that day, chills lasting about an hour. 7 pm that evening, tight "headband " feeling across top of skull. I had not felt this since surgery 5 years ago. (Lasted about 15 minutes). 1/13/21 went to work, a little extra tired, went to bed early. Woke up in the night with severe pain in hands, had hard time sleeping. I called off work and slept most of the day 1/14/21. When I woke up 1/15/21 I could not put my full weight on my left leg without pain running from behind my knee up my outer thigh. I called my Dr and took Tylenol and worked a mostly sedentary job.

Symptoms: Patient submitted MyChart message as below detailing her adverse reaction to COVID-19 vaccine: "Hello, I received my first Pfizer COVID vaccine on Friday Jan 22 at a health care program. On Friday I felt no arm discomfort, but had a stomach ache all day. Saturday I was very tired and in the evening I noticed my left shot shoulder/arm pit area, bra line area was swollen and uncomfortable. Woke up in the night feeling like my left arm pit, and breast area was more swollen and if I had to paint it I would describe it as tiny bubbles all enlarged underneath my skin. Guessing it is my lymph nodes? This unusual feeling has since spread to the left side of my neck inside my throat and out. It is not painful, I have taken a warm shower, only wearing loose, comfy clothing and am sitting with a warm bean pillow on my neck. I just wanted to report how I am feeling if others are having similar reactions."

Symptoms: VACCINE received on Friday 1/15/2021 afternoon; Monday evening 1/18/2021 felt slight chills; early to bed. Tuesday AM awoke with severe 'bed-rocking' chills, nausea and fever 100-101 degrees. recommended I go to Hospital ER. At ER, temperature increased to 102 degrees. Covid test was negative, but cost X-ray showed reasons to suspect pneumonia. No one suggested I was just suffering acute reaction to vaccine. Returned home w/ prescription for doxycycline hyclate and request that I return to the ER the next day if I continued to feel ill. The next morning, 1/19/21, I again awoke with intense, somewhat frightening chills, vomiting and a mild fever. As instructed I returned to the ER. Assuming the COVID Test may have been a false negative, a second one was given; it too turned out to be negative, but I remained at the ER and then admitted to Hospital to remain under observation. Im the hospital the chills, nausea and fever came to an end, but acute headache and utter fatigue lasted until I was released on Jan 22. My discharge papers indicated no further signs of pneumonia or any other infection; my attending doctor, concluded that my experience was an unusually strong (and delayed) reaction to the 1st dose of the Moderna Vaccine.

About a week later I started to have a round red, itchy rash around injection site. Started about the size of a nickel and progressed to about 5 inches by 3 inches around the site on 1/22/21. Took Benadryl that night which helped with redness and itching. Has expanded a little since then, but much less red and less itchy.
